🏆 The 9 Golden Rules for Living at Wellow

These 9 rules, created by and for our members, ensure a pleasant living experience for everyone. 😊

Updated over 4 months ago

Rule 1: In Respect We Trust

Respect is the cornerstone of successful community living. Always consider the presence and needs of others:

  • Keep your noise level in check.

  • Inform your housemates before inviting guests.

  • Create a peaceful living environment.

Be friendly with your neighbors too! Pro tip: Helping an elderly person with their groceries always earns good karma.

Rule 2: Stand Up & Speak Up

Communication is key to a harmonious shared living experience.

  • Use the housemate group chat to share important updates or even organize a fun gathering.

  • Don’t wait for small issues to become major problems—address them early.

Rule 3: Sharing is Caring

Some shared expenses are unavoidable in a colocation.

  • Identify common-use items (e.g., cleaning and hygiene supplies) with your housemates.

  • Use a recommended app like Tricount to split costs fairly.

Rule 4: Clean is the New Hype

A clean and comfortable environment benefits everyone.

  • Set up an equitable cleaning schedule using tools like The Nest.

  • Participate actively in keeping common spaces tidy.

  • Cleaning together with music can make it fun!

Rule 5: Keep It Clean Like Your Life Depends On It

One of the main causes of dissatisfaction in shared living is leaving things messy.

  • Always clean, dry, and put away items after using them.

  • Commit to doing your dishes and keeping the sink clean after every use.

Rule 6: Give as You Receive

Helping others is central to the Wellow experience.

  • If someone does you a favor, make sure to return it.

  • Many members are new to the city—lend a hand and share your tips to help them settle in.

Rule 7: If You Don’t Own It, You Don’t Touch It

Respect others’ belongings.

  • Always ask permission before using something that isn’t yours.

  • Keep your personal items in your room to ensure common spaces remain available for everyone to enjoy.

Rule 8: Responsibilities are Gold

Accidents happen—what’s important is taking responsibility.

  • If something breaks, report it promptly.

  • Unreported damage could result in shared deductions from all housemates’ deposits.

Contact Wellow through the App as soon as an issue arises. This allows us to ensure a comfortable living experience for everyone.

Rule 9: Having a Room is Cool, Being Part of a Community is Better

Wellow is more than just your shared apartment—it’s a network of young French and international members across the city.

  • Join our events and activities to explore the city and connect with the Wellow community.

  • Bring along your housemates: always invited, never obligated!
